Rance's Rockin' Chair Band
Rance’s Rockin’ Chair Band

This fantastic band were playing at Lydia and Justin’s wedding. They’re called Rance’s Rockin’ Chair Band and you can check out their website here. I was massively impressed with how awesome they were. They played a fantastic version of “I wanna be like you” from “The Jungle Book” I found a spare moment between shooting and asked them if they would like a couple of shots out on the balcony and this was the result…

Chicksands Bike Park
Chicksands Bike Park

This is my first attempt at something I want to become awesome at! I’ve not had a lot of experience shooting fast moving subjects and certainly not whilst trying to light them with flash. I was hoping that the flash would freeze the subject within the frame but as I could only sync at up [...]

Shuttleworth Pt V - Lotus Elan +2
Shuttleworth Pt V – Lotus Elan +2

Last in the shuttleworth set; I spotted this really cool old Lotus Elan + 2 in the car park and took a couple of shots. I really couldn’t decide if I wanted this one in black and white or colour so I posted both!

Shuttleworth Pt IV - Flowers
Shuttleworth Pt IV – Flowers

More from Shuttleworth: just a couple of simple shots of flowers here. They had some really nice flowers in the Swiss Garden, I decided to grab a couple of quick shots. It would seem that I was having a purple day!

Shuttleworth Pt III - Peacocks
Shuttleworth Pt III – Peacocks

More from Shuttleworth: these guys are awesome! The Peacock in the top shot was actually pretty scary! He kept stomping his feet and running around. I think he was a bit scared of the people around him. I gave him plenty of distance, took a couple of shots and got out of his way! The [...]

Shuttleworth Pt II - Ducklings
Shuttleworth Pt II – Ducklings

More from Shuttleworth. I was on the phone to “the G-man” when these ducklings walked right up to my feet! I managed to get a couple of decent shots whilst giving Gurdev a walkthrough on using Adobe Lightroom. I still can’t believe how overly confident these little guys were. I really didn’t expect them to [...]

More hot weather activities on Sunday. We went to Shuttleworth and looked around the Swiss Gardens there. 5 posts this week coming from Shuttleworth! Well worth a visit!

Berkhamstead Castle
Berkhamstead Castle

I didn’t even know there was a (ruined) castle in Berkamstead until last week when I was invited to go there for an awesome picnic. Thought I’d share these shots, they have a pretty summery, vintage feel to them. It was boiling hot all day which was nice! I took my old 400D with a Tamron [...]
