I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2006.

I have received training from three of the country’s top wedding and fine art photographers. I keep my skills and knowledge updated through reading professional publications and books, studying instructional DVDs and being a member of an online community of photographers.

I cover all weddings personally, no work is sub-commissioned.

I will only cover one wedding in any one day. This ensures that my time is devoted to producing your spectacular images.

I describe my photographic style as contemporary portrait journalism. Whilst some couples like a totally reportage record of the day, my style is a perfect blend of traditional and photojournalistic photography.

I have both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance. To not have any insurance would be unprofessional and a risk to the client. I also recommend to clients to take out their own Wedding Insurance for any unforeseen mishaps with their wedding.

This is an important part of the service, as the contract lays out what is being offered from JMPhotographic. My advice to couples would be to have a contract with all their Wedding Vendors, this prevents future surprises.

I would love to meet you both to show you my portfolio of work and to get to know you as a couple. The relationship between photographer and the Bride and Groom is an important one and clients need to be assured that they can get on with their photographer.

I use nothing but high end professional Canon Digital SLR cameras. In addition to this, I use high end professional Canon L range lenses. All of my equipment is less than two years old and is replaced every four years or when the market dictates, whichever is sooner.

I carry backup equipment for such eventualities. This includes lenses, another camera and other items.

There is no limit to the number of pictures I will take on the day. Typically, you will receive around 250 to 350 images to review for your final album.

I don’t restrict my packages by time. I’d like to start with bridal preparations and I usually finish about 30 minutes to an hour after the first dance.

I aim to have the photographs on our website within 2 weeks of the wedding. Most couples wish to view the images when they return from honeymoon, not during it! However, if you have an urgent need to review the images I will endeavour to accommodate your needs.

I’ve spent months researching different manufacturers and visiting their facilities. I found Kiss Wedding books to be of the highest quality. These are regarded by many leading photographers as among the finest in the world.

Following your return from honeymoon you will have been able to view the images online. You can select the images you wish to be printed in the album, I will then design the album. You will have an opportunity to preview the album design before it is sent away to be printed.

Following the image selection process, it normally takes 7 to 10 days for the design and layout to be completed. Once you have approved the design, I will place the order with the manufacturer and delivery is usually four weeks maximum from the date ordered.

Your wedding day should be full of fun and enjoyment, not spent worrying about the photographs.

I work in an unobtrusive manner and aim not to be overly noticed by the guests. Of course there are times when a small amount of direction is required but for the most part I will not interfere.

Yes I offer engagement shoots as add-ons for my wedding packages. This can be anywhere from two years (for those early planners) to two weeks before the wedding. I also offer engagement shoots as a stand alone product.

Yes! I rarely use flash when photographing weddings. I mainly use it for artistic effect, during your formal photos and the first dance.

Of course others will wish to take their record of your day and these will add to the memory of the day in the future. I kindly request that, owing to the distracting nature of photography, guests wait until I am finished prior to photographing group shots etc.
